More than 20 years in development...

After some involvement in turbine development in the early 1980s, entrepreneur Arthur O’Connor purchased the Cobden Turbine patents in 1988 and spent two decades further developing and refining the design.

In 2003, a new 5 metre wind turbine was constructed and field-tested for over 12 months at Diggers Rest in Victoria. Following further improvements in the design, in 2006 RMIT University completed more than 25 days of wind tunnel testing of the HUSH wind turbine with great success. Further field trials, including a full 12-month trial involving the Hume City Council in Victoria, also proved successful for the innovative design.

A prototype of the turbine also won the "People's Choice Award" at the Watts 'n' Drops Expo for new innovations at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum in 2005.

Hush Wind Power Limited is now making these innovative wind power turbines available to the Australian residential and business consumer as a viable source of clean, green energy.
